Abstract

Objective: The advancement of technologies is increasing teaching-learning situations. The objective of this study is to reflect on the integration of AI tools into teaching-learning in postgraduate activities. Methodology: This approach consisted of the compilation and analysis of a wide range of scientific research published in specialized journals, books, and academic reports on the implementation of AI in university teaching, with a particular emphasis on postgraduate programs. Likewise, research on the ethical and pedagogical challenges associated with the use of AI was reviewed, such as the lack of technological skills among teachers and the potential implications for student privacy. This method allowed us to synthesize the conclusions of previous studies to evaluate the overall impact of AI tools. Results and Discussion: These AI tools, when applied appropriately, can facilitate the creation of more dynamic, interactive, and enriching learning environments for students. Furthermore, they enable the automation of teaching and assessment tasks, freeing up time and resources so teachers can focus on higher-value activities, such as individualized student support and the development of more innovative pedagogical strategies. Conclusions: In this regard, it is essential that teachers train and stay up-to-date in the use of these tools, exploring best practices and adapting them to the specific needs of each educational context. Contribution: In this context, adaptive and autonomous learning is key for software development, as are AI tools, which constitute a valuable innovation to effectively prepare students for professional challenges.
