Abstract

Objective: The study was conducted within the framework of the Community Engagement Project 003-UA-UVS-CAE-2025, implemented by the Universidad Regional Autonoma de los Andes (UNIANDES) in Ambato, Tungurahua province, with the aim of strengthening the sustainable competitiveness of participating ventures. Its objective was to analyze the specific contribution of knowledge transfer regarding administrative tools and digital marketing strategies to the competitive development of the beneficiaries. Methodology: A mixed-methods approach was applied, based on a documentary analysis of project technical reports and the tabulation of a satisfaction and impact survey administered to 67 entrepreneurs. Results and Discussion: The results demonstrated high acceptance of the intervention, with "Very Satisfactory" ratings ranging from 94% to 97% regarding quality and the fulfillment of expectations, and a 90% positive perception regarding improvements in quality of life and local development. It was determined that the training fostered the adoption of data-driven management practices and digital customer loyalty strategies. Conclusion: The implemented two-way engagement model validated the university's "Third Mission" as an effective mechanism for knowledge transfer, generating strategic value and contributing to the socioeconomic strengthening of local ventures. Contribution: The study demonstrated that trust and contextualization serve as an efficient knowledge transfer mechanism to foster micro-enterprise resilience and generate a measurable positive impact on local socioeconomic development.
