Abstract

The mission of the libraries is to offer services of information to certain groups of users. At the present time, the librarians assume new challenges that demand an acting ethical professional, related to the informational development. In accordance with it, different librarian’s associations have settled ethics codes in order to regulate their behavior. The knowledge of the normative exposed in the same ones constitutes an imperious necessity. Their analysis contribute to appreciate similarities that emanate of the own librarian professional acting. Due to that the aim to the present study is systematizing conceptual theoretical budgets about the librarian’s ethics as an essential component of the professional acting, as well as the norms specified by the codes of ethics of different librarian’s associations. To the realization of this investigation was done a bibliographical revision in the specialized scientific literature.
