A state of art around the studies of Spanish press and 1898 War

Abstract

From the analytical-synthetic method and the bibliographical-documentary analysis as a research technique, this article shows that the issue of the Spanish press and the War of 98 has been frequently investigated, as evidenced by numerous books and articles published in journals Or compilations that make up the sample. Most of these studies, however, have been devoted to the attitude of the printed matter during the conflict and to the treatment of the latter in their pages, so important topics of interest remain less studied or almost unexplored. In addition, the most relevant results of the critical analysis of the methodologies used in all of these works, already organized by theme, are presented, with an emphasis on methodological design, theoretical support and the use of information sources.
