Comprehensive strategy for preservation of sounds documents in the media library of the Provincial Library of Ciego de Ávila

Abstract

This study reveals the importance of preserving this heritage as an important receptor of historical memory. This required making a conceptual theoretical analysis to define some important concepts on this topic. A comprehensive model for audio documents preservation is then proposed, as a representative sample of the intangible heritage of the province of Ciego de Ávila and also refers to the need to recognize musical heritage by sociocultural importance as a scientific source for knowledge and not  complement the history and culture of peoples.
