Personal files in Cuba: Fernando Ortiz’ Collection

Abstract

The personal Collection of the polygraph Fernando Ortiz is one
of the most valuable and representative archival documentary sets of the
Cuban heritage. This research exposes the Collection within the universe
of personal files. From the archive recognition phase, the subject is analyzed
and the documentation is characterized. It is suggested, from its
division and dissemination in not archival institutions after the death of
his mentor, the possibility of the restoration of the original structure.
