Abstract

This article offers to the reader a general perspective of the development
of the administrative and structural metadata for the sound documents
so much in digital format as analogical format. For they are approached
it theoretical - conceptual aspects of the metadata presenting defi nitions,
tipology and what it is a standard or metadata scheme. It is also characterized to the sound recordings as documents of information and the administrative and structural metadata is studied for this document type, highlighting the Standard AES-X098. To be concluded is presented some necessary conclusions and recommendations for the complexity of this material type.
